Description
FanQuest is a new fan convention taking place in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada that celebrates all fandoms by bringing together the best that sci-fi, fantasy, comic books, film, television, gaming, and anime have to offer.
Included in the FanQuest experience will be: celebrity guests, gaming tournaments, tabletop games, performances, concerts, and new vendors & exhibitors, all related to the fandoms that we love. All of this will be accessible to FanQuest attendees.
The convention will be bringing in celebrity guests representing various fandoms, including Patrick Sabongui from CW's The Flash and YouTubers Blame Society Films. Other guests include voice
actors and local cosplayers. FanQuest will also feature local artists, authors, and businesses selling merchandise in the FanQuest Bazaar.
FanQuest kicks off on May 26, 2017 with the 40th Anniversary Star Wars social, taking place at the Crescentwood Community Centre, as well as a performance from the critically-acclaimed DnD Improv Show. The convention proper will continue through the 27th and 28th at the U of W's Riddell and Eckhardt-Gramatte halls.
